Ahh, thanks for the clarification. Missed that one.

158 looks good then!

Re: Max Score Speculation

top row(first grid): 3 uber tubes in back: 6 x 3 = 18, 6 for each tube on top of them: 6 x 3 = 18, and double the top row for logo bonus 18 x 2 = 36, so top row: 18 + 36 = 54 points
top row(second grid): 3 points per tube, double for logo bonus: 3 x 3 x 2 = 18 points
middle rows: 2 points per tube, 3 tubes per row (2 rows) and double for the logo bonus: 2 x 3 x 2 x 2 = 24 points
bottom rows: 1 point per tube, 3 tubes per row (2 rows) and double for the logo bonus: 1 x 2 x 3 x 2 = 12 points

with the top two mini bots at: 30 and 20, 30 + 20 = 50 points

so the top score being: 50 + 12 + 24 + 18 + 54 = 158, so you were correct with the 158.

Re: Max Score Speculation

The most interesting thing about that, is in an insanely high scoring game, having two good minibots will net you 32% of the points. And that number just goes up the lower the total score...

Re: Max Score Speculation

We're trying to determine if the logo bonus doubles the points that the ubertubes scored from the autonomous period.

Rule <G66> states "If three LOGO PIECES form a LOGO, the assigned points from the SCORING PEGS in that row of that SCORING GRID are given as an additional LOGO BONUS, effectively doubling the score of the row."

Notice that it states "the assigned points from the SCORING PEGS" and not simply "the PEG SCORE". As it is written, we are thinking that the logo bonus would double both the original ubertube points (from <G64>) as well as the peg score (from <G65>).

What do you think?

Re: Max Score Speculation

Assuming the minibot from either the 1st or 2nd place finisher can come back down from the pole, what if then the 3rd alliance member deploys its minibot and reaches the target before anyone from the opposing alliance? That's another 15 points, increasing the max total to 173!

From what I saw of the field, this wouldn't work since each tower locks to 1st-4th place once it is triggered, and I doubt this can be reset (or we'd have minibots going up then down then up then down to get 1st-4th place)

Re: Max Score Speculation

In response to the question about Ubertubes being doubled in a row...

G62 states that Autonomous scores are calculated immediately at the end of the Autonomous period so their values could not be doubled.

Re: Max Score Speculation

Our programmer created a score calculator for the pegs including Ubertubes, and logo combinations.

You can find it here:
http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...threadid=88417

I hope this helps you all.

By the way, with this calculator, the max score it once again 158, with 3 Ubertubes, and a FIRST logo on each set of pegs and winning 1st and 2nd in the end game.
