Question Minibots -- PARTS!

how and from where do we order parts for mini-bot, since we are only supposed to use FTC parts.
are VEX parts same as FTC parts?

Re: Minibots -- PARTS!

Pitsco is the only vendor I know of for the TETRIX kits used for FTC. They also used to carry the LEGO Dacta and Mindstorms kits, but no longer.

They are an educational materials supplier, and don't do a retail business. You'll likely have to have your teacher order the parts.

Re: Minibots -- PARTS!

No go. Something changes it when I post?

Just go to www.pitsco.com, online store, Robotics, or search TETRIX.

Re: Minibots -- PARTS!

Again....

Check out the FIRST CHOICE free parts option for FTC Tetrix Parts....

Also. ANYONE can order from PITSCO for Tetrix parts...
www.legoeducation.com

However, if you know an FTC team in your area, they can order them for a 30% discount.... worth having.

Phil.

Re: Minibots -- PARTS!

I think you need a registered FTC team to order from here. This is the discounted parts page for FIRST.

Re: Minibots -- PARTS!

Hey, guys, just one quick thing:

You are not required to use FTC/Tetrix parts. See <R92> for the complete list of what is allowed for Minibot use.

You are virtually required to use them. Yes, you're allowed other things, but the challenge is obviously harder without them.

And this is speaking form a zero-electrical perspective on the minibots using stored energy only.
