Re: Mini Bots
OK, that's more what I was looking for. It wasn't clear from the Manual that a robot only had to trip the sensor and could then do what it liked, instead of trip the sensor, back down, and then realize that it was now in 3rd place because somebody got up while it was down a bit.

Re: Mini Bots
If we build mutiple minbots for the purpose of lending them out will they be considered towards the weight requirements of our robot?

Re: Mini Bots
Quote:
The MINIBOT/CLIENTBOT does not count towards the weight of the FRC robot, and although I never saw it specified, follows FTC weight and size rules. I do believe this could also mean that your minibot does not have to be in the box by February 22, nor does it count to your travel weight. |

Re: Mini Bots
Just under the Minibot section of the rulebook:
<R91> The MINIBOT may not exceed a 12" x12" X 12" volume and weight no more than 15 lbs |

Re: Mini Bots
The amount of Newtons needed to set off the light is 2-4, it says it in the manual, i just don't have it on me right now.

Re: Mini Bots
I know I don't have very many posts, but I think it wouldn't be a terrible idea to post and sticky a "What We Don't Know About Logomotion" thread to prevent 3 different threads asking for peg height, certain minibot parameters, and the like.

Re: Mini Bots
I've put up a "FAQs for Q&A" thread with some of the more common questions that haven't been answered in the Manual. Hopefully all of them get answered in Update #1.

Re: Mini Bots
Can one hostbot deploy more than 1 minibot?

Re: Mini Bots
We don't know for sure, but the majority opinion seems to be no. This is based on the equation given in the definitions that the ROBOT = HOSTBOT + MINIBOT. If you allow more than 1 MINIBOT, that equation doesn't work.
