Im work on my next project that involves FISRT. I would like to know what teams do in there community and in there schools. I would also like to know if any teams supports or helps any FLL or FTC teams. Thanks for your help and have a great 2011 season.

Re: Need Help from Wisconsin Teams

One of the many good teams to try to get ahold of is Team 93 in Appleton. I was on that team in the past and I know they do a lot of community activities as well as other support activities for other teams and such. If you want any help trying to contact them just PM me and I will see what I can do.

Ahh the braodcast engineering degree from MATC...I've spent many a night at master control of Channel 10/36 during my two years there back in the mid 70's. the Craziness of Students ops and the long hours behind the camera at the great channel 10 auction..

If your going to do a program on FIRST...Contact Team 1675, The Ultimate Protection Squad, Teams 1732 Marquette High, 1268 Messmer... All in the downtown-ish area. Divine Savior Holy Angels had a FTC team, and make sure to check out The Milwaukee Vex League..

I'm by no means an impartial source, but the amount of outreach my alma mater 1714 does is mind boggling. I didn't know there were enough hours in the day! They've won RCA or EI every year since their rookie year as a result.

Really, thats cool! Yeah I decied to do my Students ops on FISRT. I was working the great channel 10 auction last year, when I saw some studnet with a UPS sweetshirt and the first logos on the back of the sweetshirt. Then I saw team members from 1714, then a couple weeks later I saw memebers from c.o.r.e robotics. Thanks for all your help and good luck with Logomotion.

Re: Need Help from Wisconsin Teams

Yes..those two years at channel 10/36 had a real influence..I knew all the Sesame Street characters on a first name basis...what can I say about Mr Rogers...I always looked forward to NOVA on Tuesday nights...Downtown Milwaukee was pretty scary at midnite as I walked down Wells or State street to get to a bus stop....

Back then Milwaukee only had 5 TV stations, So jobs were pretty tough to get since MATC would turn out 20 or 30 engineers and broadcast students each year. Continued my education at Carroll College in Waukesha and got a degree in physics and computer science.

Have fun..hope to meet up with you.

Re: Need Help from Wisconsin Teams

Hello,

As mentioned above Team 93 is very active in the community including huge support for FLL teams. I am one of the controls mentors for the team and actually went to school at MSOE. If you would like, you can email me and I can put you in contact with the correct people on the team for what you are looking for.

I'm sure the team would love to help!

Re: Need Help from Wisconsin Teams

Hi, I'm from Team 1732 Hilltopper Robotics. Our MUHS and DSHA members mentor FLL teams at the Mary Ryan Boys & Girls Club. We also hold an FLL Tournament at Marquette High. This past November at Stemfest we helped Time Warner with the workshop/scrimmage they held for their Girl Scout Teams. We'd be happy to help you with your project.

Feel free to email us at: team1732@gmail.com to set up a visit

Hey Jerome! I am from Team 1675 and I would love to help you out! All of the above mentioned teams are all great for resources. My email is jrwilliams492@gmail.com and if you email me, I would be happy to give you any information you need.

By the way, I love the auction! I'm the person who started our team going because I had already been doing it for 5 years. We will be back this year as well because, well, our team now loves it as well!!!
