Yes, it replaces the previous wireless bridge.
If you look at the FIRST control system power diagram notice that there is a power converter (to step down the voltage from 12v to 5v) that you put in between the regulated 12v output and the D-Link device. You run the risk of frying it if you just direct wire it to 12volts Configure Bridge/Access Point Power Setup Last edited by Trent B : 09-01-2011 at 19:12.
