Yes, that's the way it was last year, and that's the way those electronics were set up. There was a yellow light above the driver station that stayed on 10 seconds after the timer hit zero, and the ball counter (and DOGMA counter) was active during that 10 seconds.

But notice how the flashing lights are set up this year. The part I quoted before says the lights are active until timer hits zero. I suspect - I don't know, but I suspect - that means the MINIBOT has to hit the trigger before the time runs out, regardless of any rule about objects in motion.
