Question about illumination

During the kickoff video, The robots built to demonstrate parts of the game had what looked like a mini Mag-Lite to illuminate the retroreflectors on the scoring rack. After reading the manual, I could not find anything about the illumination of the reflectors. Does anybody know anything about this, or is there a rule in the manual I missed?

Well, retroreflectors have to be illuminated in order to reflect anything, so one presumes that you'd need a light source of some kind!

Re: Question about illumination

The NI site contains a paper with some game specific vision help. I'm not sure if it is linked from FIRST site yet, but it is not LV specific.

in the bottom right, More section.
