Re: G02 clarification

So to make sure I've got my head wrapped around this rule:
Bluabots 1 & 2 and Redabot 1 has deployed their minibots, and have triggered.
Redabot 3 has a game piece and it will take them 4 seconds to score.
Redabot 2 is deploying its minibot, it takes 3.5 seconds to reach the trigger.
There are 5 seconds left in the match.

--

Redabot 3 will not score, correct?

That is exactly how I read it.

If Redabot 3's last half second of scoring action requires powered full control of the robot, I do believe you are correct.

If the robot is in the process of doing something when the match ends, and if that something can continue on its own momentum with the game piece ending up on the peg with the robot no longer touching it a second or so later, the crowd will cheer and the piece will be scored.

In 2007 the robot could not be touching the tube, so if the momentum carries it to the peg and the "gripper" has no contact then it could score.

This Game rule is a significant change from previous years. I would expect some more clarification on this one. Especially given that only 4 bots can deploy minibots, the other 2 should be trying to score tubes. A few seconds can win or lose a match.
