The 'cute chute' folds up and deploys after autonomous period ends. The robot is designed to act as a 'middle man' and deliver the tubes into the protected zone for our alliance partners. We are able to get tubes from one side of the field to the other in about 2 seconds...

Are you at all worried about that big basket being rammed/broken?

..and 2 seconds. Thats really quick, do you throw tubes, travel only to mid field and toss, or just have a really fast robot?

Re: pic: FIRST Team 1875 Presents "Robot In Tights"

The 'cute chute' will only stay out in the pictured position wile we are in the 'protected lane'. And yes, the robot does throw the tubes from the end of the lane to the zone on the other side of the field. So it basically backs up, loads a tube and then throws it. We have video coming soon....

When we are done throwing the tubes, the 'cute chute' is retracted and folds back up on top of the rest of the robot.
