Re: pic: The only triple Ubertube hang in autonomous
Just so there's no confusion, 175 (Buzz) was the alliance captain, not 177 (Bobcat). There have been several alliances to get the triple ubertube hang fairly reliable - it is definitely exciting! :-)

Re: pic: The only triple Ubertube hang in autonomous
If I recall, West Michigan had 5 Ubertubes up.
No pictures though. Sorry. |

Re: pic: The only triple Ubertube hang in autonomous
We did that (with an alliance of 74 and a team i don't remember) at West Michigan. I'm sure there were pictures, but I haven't seen any yet. Our photographer is banned from taking video of our auton runs because we always miss it when she's recording =P An exciting moment for sure!

I believe that was in our semifinals match 1 (1918,27,3357 vs. 226,74,3452)

Re: pic: The only triple Ubertube hang in autonomous
I'm pretty sure at Alamo in Week 1 that it was done several times. The most memorable times is whenever 148 is hanging two ubertubes and 16 with the third one.
Also, at Lone Star last week 2936, 2857, and 3320 did during quarter-finals too. Last edited by LightWaves1636 : 21-03-2011 at 04:22. Reason: forgot to mention Lone Star. |

It was also done in Pittsburgh several times, with 1114 hanging two tubes by themselves almost every match.

Re: pic: The only triple Ubertube hang in autonomous
Its impressive to see at a regional for any peg by all 3 teams, but at CMP, I'd only be equally impressed if 3 team alliances can do it on the top row on the same set of pegs.
54 points is a lot for one logo with ubertubes. We were able to do it at NYC, and the main reason 395 and 359 chose 527 was because all 3 of us were capable of scoring ubertubes in auto. |

Re: pic: The only triple Ubertube hang in autonomous
That would be impressive, but there is no score advantage of doing it. (The extra bonus on one Grid is offset by the lack of bonus on the other Grid.) So I would assume most teams would be content to get their points the "easy" way by dividing the Ubertubes between the Grids.

Re: pic: The only triple Ubertube hang in autonomous
Also at Kettering..
Qualifications match 72, had three up, all on the top row. 2137, 302 and 494. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wF2bQOu3MU around 4:37 of the video. Although seeing the Bee's do two by themselves is still impressive. |
