We ran into this last year.
A few solutions- 1.More tire pressure. 2. Shorten the wheel base by drilling a couple of new holes. 3. Change one pair, or both pairs of the outside wheels to something with less friction like KoP wheels. 4. Gear your robot for more torque. We ran into two problems when we did this. The robot would either refuse to turn, or the robot would execute a bouncy turn. Refusing to turn usually means you have a long way to go to get it to work. Bouncy turns usually means you aren't far from non-bouncy turns. We deemed the occasional bouncy turn to not be a problem and moved forward. Best of luck to you. -Jeff |
