Re: Intentionally outbounding autonomous balls?
Quote:
Teams, don't be stupid! Often, winning the match is just as easy as not wasting half the match picking up your missed auto balls and just doing three assist 1pt cycles instead. Don't test your autonomous on the comp field. There's a practice field for a reason. |

Re: Intentionally outbounding autonomous balls?
Except that the ceiling wasn't high enough on the practice field to practice our autonomous. What percentage is a reasonable gamble? 50%...75%...

Re: Intentionally outbounding autonomous balls?
The Palmetto practice field goals were both 4" too tall at the bottom of the opening. What good is a practice field when it isn't built to spec?

Re: Intentionally outbounding autonomous balls?
To be completely fair though if you can get mobility points you can score a low goal in auton'

Re: Intentionally outbounding autonomous balls?
Except that driving straight in auto is often a nontrivial task for robots without feedback sensors.

Re: Intentionally outbounding autonomous balls?
Thats more then fair but the resources available should make it possible. I know team 1339 is going to make sure all teams on the alliance has an auto code for that 5 point bonus (or at least will make the attempt to.)
