Protect the compresser. A bumper won't save it. No matter how many 'controlled' tests you've done, it will bust.
The best 'controlled' test you can do to see if you'll break it: Hit it with a baseball bat. Think it won't break from that? do it, but be prepared to buy a spare. Think it would break? Move it somewhere else. There will be some very high impacts and a broken compresser due to poor design will mean you are not given a backup at competition. |
