Re: pic: 330 placing three cans up high
All of those bins count as long as they are not supporting each other's weight.

Re: pic: 330 placing three cans up high
I noticed Poofs putting two containers on a stack in practice in CVR, and didn't see it again...not sure what's up with the scoring of more than one container per stack. The rule above seems to indicate it's scored by level, so as long as it's supported by gray totes, all the containers count, no matter how many stacks. And I didn't read the other thread that probably discussed this, because I was "busy".
Explanations and rule or Q&A citations welcome... |

Re: pic: 330 placing three cans up high
Rules are clear, it counts.
Also, I love how people nit pick when top teams post designs to make themselves feel better. "1114 can't pick up upside down totes.... ha! gotcha! they have a flaw!" "330 will have trouble picking up 3 containers, that's not easy! Those idiots overlooked it" You're talking about teams that are not only capable all around, but think of things at the system level more than others. They factor in drive practice, skill, mechanisms, automation, etc. etc. to figure out the optimal solution (for their constraints and resources) for the game. What is difficult for you, is possibly far easier for them. They also don't make assumptions (hmmm, let's not try that, it's hard!) and test items to prove they are too difficult/hard before writing them off. Last edited by AdamHeard : 10-03-2015 at 12:00. |

Re: pic: 330 placing three cans up high
If the driver has enough practice I am sure they would be able to do this nearly every match. From my experience 330 always has a great driver for their robots. Can't wait to see it happen this weekend.

Re: pic: 330 placing three cans up high
i am going to be completely honest and say i am extremely disappointed that i didn't pick up on this when i went through the rules that would have been such a nice thing to know at our first event.
now would this count you have a 5 tote stack with all totes facing length way you place two totes on top of that facing width was such that both totes are next to each other on the top so both count as a sixth level then placing two recycle bin on top of each tote turning 1-six stack into 2 six stacks |

Re: pic: 330 placing three cans up high
Really pumped for the reveal.
I'm really interested to see how fast they can grab those RC's. I'm sure as we progress through the season and on to championship the grabbers won't take that long to obtain the RCs. Center RC's are the Minibots this year. |
