Re: pic: #TeamTablet
Looks like the strategy team has their scouting under control this year?

Re: pic: #TeamTablet
Which tablets are those? They kind of look like the $50 Kindle tablets?

Re: pic: #TeamTablet
Answering as many questions as I can with this post:
- The 6 identical tablets are the $50 Kindle Fire HD 7in, running CM 12.1. The other two are some sort of refurb lenovos we bought last year. - We have an inverter that takes the 12v robot batteries and converts it to 120v AC to charge the tablets if we have no access to an outlet. - There is an Anker 10 port usb charger, so that we only need one outlet at a time. - We are running a custom scouting app. Should be all of the questions. If you have more, feel free to ask. |

Re: pic: #TeamTablet
We have a very similar setup this year. How are you handling the process of data? Are you sending the data from the scouts to a "master" tablet? Are you posting/syncing to the cloud at all?

Re: pic: #TeamTablet
It is stored locally to a SQL server and then pushed to a GAE NDB server when internet is available. The tablets can also retrieve from this server to get up-to date info on both our alliance partners and opponents. We also use the GAE bulkloader to get info into a .csv that we can analyze in either Tableau or Excel
