 To think that one can "learn" engineering in 6 weeks while under the strain of building a robot too is proposterous. FIRST isn't about teaching. It's about inspiring.

I like it Paul, we were looking into something similar a few weeks ago. Our inspiration was this: http://rescomp.stanford.edu/~arens/ee118/mechanics.html which looks similar to what I'm guessing you're planning to do. I'm glad to see a team that has the technical resources to build something like this is doing so, because it's a great idea.
