Steve,
I think you have read enough about the rule violation for the logo. So, I am not going to write about the same thing. perhaps... I will try to give you some suggestions. ... hats off to you for trying to create a game. I would like to play this game sometime. I think it was pointed out in this thread before that you would contact FIRST about using the logo, my suggestion would be, call FIRST asap, let them know what you are trying to do, show them the purpose of this and get it cleared up now, so we can resume a normal conversation about your game and give you our input.
