Who am I?
My name is Ned.
I do not like
my little bed.

This is no good.
This is not right.
My feet stick out
of bed all night.

so i believe the bed is just a platform that doesn't have a ramp so robots will have to learn how to climb into bed and the robot in the picture is trying to be like the fish so i said hmm..... banana fish.... maybe but any way i came up with this page http://images.google.com/imgres?img...6lr%3D%26sa%3DG which is a crib bedding set and the crib is just a bed (platform) that is smaller than the platform from last year so some of the robot may hang of the edge like ned's feet.
he's sitting on it

Somehow at the end of the match you would be scored on how many objects you had and if you correctly separated them.
I think you may be on to something, who's to say that the three colors have to do with lights. It could be game color pieces, or even (my hopes) a third allaince color. That would spice things up a bit !

I really hope it's not like Botball 2006 where you had to sort things like 'trash' or 'recycle' things.

Re: pic: 2007 Game Piece Hint

actually, the water scene is a very good theory. earlier game hints, like that one with the fish, show water, and that is a sealed pvc capsule. it floats. *dun-dun-duuuuun!* so maybe a challenge involving getting floating pvc capsules out of the water.

Does anybody notice the wooden chair behind the chair on the lower level? It is black and hard to see.

Re: pic: 2007 Game Piece Hint

Has anyone noticed Wetzel's signature? When we first saw the thread in our Robotics class, we noticed the signature, looked up the lyrics and blasted the song. The song is "Sunday Bloody Sunday" by U2. We weren't quite sure if theres anything specific in the song, but it's something to look in to. And would anyone know what the "GPO" means at the end of his signature? I looked it up, and the biggest meaning i found was "Grand Postal Office". Remember the mailboxes from last year? putting the capsules in the mailboxes...?
hmmmm....

Both. WI had a VEX competition that was based on Savage Soccer game using the "uber tuber", but it was a completely different game known as "Who's got the Uber Tuber??"

To those unfamiliar with either game, the scoring object was a small piece of PVC with caps on the ends, though the caps weren't close (it looked like a dumbell seen here ).

These are much bigger. Can the cold cathode lights be run off of portable batteries? Put some cathode lights in these puppies and watch them glow (the wall thickness would have to be a bit smaller, but just think if the color could be remotely changed.....MWAHAHAHAHA).

Glowing field elements and 3-4 colors.....anyone up for "Glow-in-dark FIRST"? that would be cool to see.

Re: pic: 2007 Game Piece Hint

Maybe the chair in the back represents the black ps3 thats coming out. Maybe Sony is only releasing 400k of them on release because FIRST has bought half a million of them to use as game pieces.
wouldnt it be cool to have the game be
S3 CHALLENGE:
Make your robot play Ridge Racer 7 for the ps3.

just a thought
