Actually, Dave does that a lot for many of his posts over the years. I think it's just for aesthetic reasons, so there would be a white space from the bottom of his post until the start of his signature. (Otherwise new lines at the end of a post without any text on them are deleted.)

Or maybe not. lol ;-)

Possibly with the lights that they showed us last year in atlanta, they said that they would change colors every so many seconds (i think it was 2 sec.). And if we do use squares (blocks, cubes, PVC pipes assembled into cubes: ) i hope that we will be launching them like we did last year, the shooter games are a lot of fun, although shooting squares would be a bit difficult.

ehh... i guess ill wait another week for the clue.

Has anyone else noticed that dave always signs his posts even though it is clear that they are from him. Maybe there well be specific objectives for each team on an alliance that is specific for what position they are.

Re: dlavery game hint

I've also noticed Dave switching his user title surprisingly much lately in comparison to how he used to. (For the longest of times, it was simply Curmudgeon, or in my really early days on CD Curmudgeon V-Neun.) Somebody care to find the connection between John Lennon, Joe Barbera, and robots?

(I'm absolutely joking here--I have absolutely no interest in hint-chasing this year.)

John Lennon died on December 8, 1980
Joe Barbera died on December 18, 2006
- a tribute perhaps -

Re: dlavery game hint

Hopefully not a death of someone that was respected and admired, and perhaps a hero. I don't think everything Mr. Lavery does has to do with game clues even at this time of year. This is a very intense time and everyone is waiting for 'the' clue/hint but perhaps we can respect a small tribute for someone who has passed as being just that. Mr. Barbera was an animator, cartoon artist, producer, and wore many other hats doing wonderful wonderful work. It was his life's work.

Edit: I didn't include the quote but I was referring to an above post trying to link 8 and 18.

The *real* clue, of course. It means the real clue is going to be later than usual this year, so he was giving us something else to puzzle over until it comes out.

(I'm entirely kidding, I agree with Jane that it probably has nothing to do with the game.)

Re: dlavery game hint

What I have to say is actually grounded, so this may not be the best place to say it, but as it seems all the game speculation has ended up in this thread might as well put it here. According to FIRST's website

So, once again robots weigh 120 lbs, we have six weeks, and we have bumpers. Why I'm searching for game hints at 1 in the morning I have no idea.
