The lighting made every "red" inner tube look orange when the huge bank of lights were on.

They turned those down and it was a little darker then, and they actually started looking red. (And the Vision Targets weren't all washed out by the spotlights as well - which was also a good thing.)

I guess it doesn't matter the true color of the tubes unless you want to try and track them now does it?
