It does look most like a clear polycarb on a black background.

I really hope those are CNCed. Those would take forever to fabricated manually.

They are definitely CNC'ed. We were very glad about that, since it meant we wouldnt have to be slaving over our lathe for weeks to make them all

Not to mention titanium against FIRST rules.

Someone mentioned that there are 16 axels there. I only counted 15... Multiple times. 2 6WD robots with a couple of spare axels?

Is titanium illegal again? I seem to remember it being legal last year. It makes no difference to me anyway, so I haven't checked.

I agree that it's most likely PC in the background, which is available in black.

This is the closest guess so far. Not an output shaft though.

The black material is not polycarb. Keep guessing. They use the same stuff in a lot of paintball parts.

I was hoping to post up another picture tonight, but I've got to wait for the correct answer! So hurry!

Re: pic: 968 - More unfinished parts!

My guess is that 968 has uncovered the secret to a complete pwnage drive, and it involes many shafts spinning at high speeds to make all of their tubes go on the rack and all three bots on their alliance to levitate.

Gearbox Shafts

1st stage

3 Gears fit on that hex

The outside 2 gears are for high and low gear. The middle gear is driven by a pair of cims.

Am I two for two?

Gearbox shafts
2 spur gears placed on the hex
Dog (or pin) placed in between

This guy's good! Not quite though... 2 gears fit on the hex. The bulge you see will be the third gear.

I'll post another picture in a few minutes. The next part should be MUCH easier though.
