I'm sure it fits sideways, you don't HAVE to be oriented front to back with the field to unfold. By the looks of it, I'd say its about 11-12 feet long, much more than the 8 feet that would be necessary to fit front to back in the homezone.
Great job on the unfolding, thats quite a few joints for one ramp. Arm looks solid as well. |

Each plate is 3 feet long and we have about a 1.5 feet on the robot, which gives us enough room for 2 robot. The arm will be pointing up, so the entire ramp will be free for robots to climb.
If you were wandering what are the ramps made of, it's special aluminum honeycomb plates that we managed to get. They are very light weight and very strong, perfect for being a ramp. |
