Yep. We installed around 16 cold cathode lamps underneath (red & yellow for that re-entry effect). The wings fold up and will eventually be controlled with pneumatics. We added engine nozzels this week just in time for the Championship. The cargo bay opens & closes when the robot holding rack is removed. It's was designed by students in the drafting class, built out of wood in the woodworking class, and finished (including a fiberglass wrap) in the collision repair class. Future enhancements include: 1) More Lights! (strobes, markers, cold cathodes) 2) Flames from the nozzels (We need to look at H.O.T.'s fire pots) 3) Actuated wings 4) Drive by wire We will definately have it in Atlanta. Come by pit 34 in Curie! |

Re: pic: Team 34's Robot Cart
It'd be REALLY cool if you could put some toolboxes or something in there as cargo...THAT would be the final straw on making it officially one of the coolest carts ever...
...but wow... that is awesome. |

Re: pic: Team 34's Robot Cart
So now you have to build a motorized crane or something that you can control to lift the tools out (or just put on a jointed arm you can move by hand just to say it's an accurate model-

Re: pic: Team 34's Robot Cart
Yay for Pirateyfullness!
We're Scalawags so we'll have a... Pirate ship too! I'd love to see pictures of yours. (so that ours aren't too much the same) And as for the remote-controll cart, that's a great idea! I'll be looking into that. Our 2006 robot has big wheels... and low speed... oooh... and the top comes off... yes.... ![]() |
