Could you by any chance give some of the differences between this program and the MATE program including the purposes and challenges?

I have heard of h2orobots but only to the extent of "underwater FIRST", on the other hand I have heard of "MATE" which has been in existence for a while now and has a good reputation as well as a great history with underwater robotics.
