As long as you have a short memorial service, it's O.K.
 Our robots have proven to be worth more functional than disassembled: In order to get or keep sponsors, we do demonstrations. Example: to give themselves a high-tech image, a new ford dealership around our area had us playing half-court AimHigh in their showroom... I wish someone took videos! Our tetra robot goes out for a lot of shows too, occasionally even the 2007rackbot. You might look into seeing if some of your sponsors would enjoy a demo. -q
