Guerrilla Camp - SE MI - Feb. 16 - noon to 6pm

On Feb. 16, Team 469 is offering to open up our new practice field to FIRST teams that would like to test out their robot(s) before the shipping deadline on the 19th.

This would take place from noon until 6pm and is open to any FIRST team. The location is in Auburn Hills, directly across from the Pontiac Silverdome off of Opdyke at Android Industries. 2155 Executive Hills Blvd.

This is an informal event. We are offering our practice field and the limited resources of our machine shop and engineering services to help get your robot in tip top shape before shipping.

Just a fews things:

There will be a safety presentation for the facility as well as a brief tour at 12:15. We would like to go through this once so we would ask if you would like to attend, please be there at that time.

You must wear safety glasses at all times, so please bring them.

Due to confidentiality at our host location, photography will not be allowed. We have our team photographer who is authorized to take pictures inside the facility if you would like to have any pictures taken.

Also, due to the development hardware at the location, prior approval of all team members that wish to attend is required. We ask for a complete list of all students that will be attending as well as the mentors/parents along with their place of employment.

Ai has graciously let us into their facility, and agreed to open it up to other FIRST teams as long as we follow these few rules. Thank you for your understanding.

If you wish to join us, or have any questions, please have a team representative contact me (PM or don.wright@avlna.com). All requests need to be in by Tues. Feb. 12th to give us time to review the teams and plan the event. We would probably limit the number of teams to 10...

Re: Guerrilla Camp - SE MI - Feb. 16 - noon to 6pm

Just an update...

7 teams have expressed interest already and the sign-up documents have been sent to them.

Due to space limitations, it's really going to be difficult to host more than 10 teams, so if you are interested in joining us, please let me know asap.

The sign-up documents returned to me assure you a spot. First come, first serve...

Thanks.

Re: Guerrilla Camp - SE MI - Feb. 16 - noon to 6pm

We weren't until this year. We just moved into a new sponsor's facility and they gave us enough space for a full field. Hence, this is our first practice event ever...

BTW...Team list requests are up to 9...
