So if it cost you 47 cents (you said a little less than fifty why not 47?
 ) and you spent about a hundred dollars, you'd have about 213 bearings. They look like 3/8" bearing bore, 7/8" through bore, 1" flange bearings to me by the proportions on the picture, and they look like they're made by General Bearing (GBC). According to GBC, the weight of each of those bearings is 0.035lb. So... really the weight of all those bearings isn't horrible.. 7.455lb. However, that's just bearings! Wow! Well, i'm kind of guessing most of your axles are going to have two bearings on them (a few might have 3~4) so assuming you have 2.5bearings average per axle, you've got about 85 spinning axles on your robot. I had no idea crab drive had so many... can't wait for pictures!  -q p.s. anything with 85 axles that covers less area than a sheet of plywood should be on How it's Made.
