We used a shop vac assembly and modified it to work with 2 fisher price motors. It did drain the battery fairly quickly but we never had any problems tripping a breaker. At competition we were holding the ball with over 400lbs of force and we could acquire instantly as soon as our funnel touched the ball.

Thanks cziggy. Im actually really bummed we don't get to go to atlanta. This is definitely the best robot I've ever been a part of. I really think we could have competed against the elite teams this year. I guess next year we're going to be even better though.

Great News!!! We actually just found out we are going to the championship. Everyone look out for 1771. We also have a new device for removing the balls much quicker which was our one weakness.

we dont know what division we're in yet. It is rumored top be archimedes but we will find out later in the week.

Wow, I don't see your number on the list but glad to know you guys got in. It would be great if 1261 and 1771 teamed up...think about that...two Gwinnett, Georgia teams teaming up to kick butt at championships....that'll be so cool.
