Re: pic: Team 237 NYC Winner

Thank you Rich for posting this, & also thank you Ellen for the congrats!
We on Team 237 had a great time this past weekend in NYC & will be in Hartford, CT in week 5.

Even though there was only one FRC field, there were so many FIRST related events going on this weekend as Rich stated, I can agree with calling this a Mega-Regional event!

I hope in the future that more areas of the country combine their FRC, FTC, FLL & JFLL events in the way NYC did to maximize the awareness of FIRST on a much larger (and much more streamlined) scale!

Re: pic: Team 237 NYC Winner

Aside from Toronto prior to 2007, has there ever been any double-field "super" regionals? I know Connecticut was supposed to have one last year but I don't think it went through. Minnesota is kind of a super regional this year, but it's technically two separate regionals across the street from eachother going on simultaneously.

Re: pic: Team 237 NYC Winner

Rich,
Thanks for posting the picture. We had a blast at NYC. You really put on a great show there.

The Lego kids were amazing. We had a group visit us in the pit that asked great questions. It was fun having them.

I really liked having the three events going on over the weekend. Lego competitions are so much fun. They are total energy.

The FTC kids were so serious. They were very intense. Very cool.

Thanks

Re: pic: Team 237 NYC Winner

Once again I've missed this regional (I meant to attend on Sunday) but I had just finished a long journey from Rochester where Finger Lakes was and so decided that safety is priority and in that sleep was more necessary then I previously thought .

'10 mark my words to hell in high water I WILL BE THERE!!!

As for 237, congrads I wished I was there to have seen how it all came down. I was remotely monitoring NYC Reg. stats at the score table ay Finger Lakes.

Congrads to all who attended and all those who went home properly honored
