Go to Post Making a part look pretty even after it is functionaly done can be a very good thing, espically when the part gets cut from the bot and you get to keep it as a trophey. Take pride in your work. - Andy A. [more]

The important question is, did it work for the time you needed it?
If it didn't work for the entirety, Plan C would be to soon get the right tool, a Hex Set in this case right? Then you can accumulate tools one by one as you progress through college (conservatively in college of course since you'll be broke ). Eventually you'll have enough tools to build or fix your own <whatever>. Just last night while fixing the central air conditioning system in my townhome I used a hacksaw I bought in 1998 (9th grade) and a screwdriver set I got at a garage sale ($2 for the whole set!) at the start of my college senior design project.

Re: pic: Ths is how we do it(in programming)

I think that his mechanical team should've sent a drive ready bot home with their programmer. How many other team positions work "on the bot" when they're not at meetings?

Nathan, this makes me sad, but at least our mechanical team is not responsible for the ghetto fix this time. Did you get it working well enough to program, and did you get to give it to William to do a proper fix? Hope the summer is goin well for you guys back in Davis.
