No. In my opinion, #25 chain, when properly aligned and tensioned is almost foolproof. Any hassles I've ever encountered with chain have come from master links, poor shaft support or improper tensioning......ever product we create attempts to solve this problem. Which is why we feature #25 chain!
So basically, the advantage of #35 is that it allows you to be sloppier in your design and fabrication. If you pay close attention to these details, you will never have a problem with #25 chain. - Jim Zondag [more]
