After the SoCal regional....

To anyone and everyone planning to be at the LA regional this weekend...
Team 330 is planning to hang out at the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, Saturday night after the awards ceremony. For those of you who aren't from around here, the Promenade is just a place where you can hang out, eat food, go shopping, etc. There is no fee to get in, but you may have to pay for parking. Also, you may bring money for dinner and shopping and to tip the street performers (best part of the night, IMNSHO).
We will be passing out fliers at the competitions, just come see me or anyone else wearing a "Beach Bot" tshirt. It should be fun, if people will actually come. See you all there!

Team 294 will be there. In the past we've had a bus (not willing to go to Promenade afterwards), and this year we'll have drivers (who'll know ahead of time).

We'll be staying til 10p.

Third St Promenade

I think I got the addresses right, so 15 miles from Sports Arena

That's a great idea! Third street promenade is so much fun and the second home to any UCLA student since it's also right by the beach. I might just have to come check it out since I'm going to LA and it's only like 5 minutes away from my dorm.

Great idea!

We headed down there last year. It was a lot of fun.

Our team will be there again.

Smile NEW INFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok this tread was actually pulled up from last year so here is the new information. There is one BIG change!

THE EVENT IS ON FRIDAY NIGHT NOT SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Everybody is invited to join us!! It is basically the same as last year when we went to the Third Street Promanede. There are over 20 restaurants, lots of shopping, and 2 movie theaters. I will be passing out a flyer at the competition and it will have driving directions from map quest on it. The estimated time is 19 minutes but remeber this is LA on a Friday night so please allow a half hour. If you have any questions, please come to our pit and ask for me (Courtney), Sarah, or Mary. I hope to see you there!!
