Iraq Draft
Some members of congress are pushing for a draft if we go to war with Iraq. How do guys feel about that.
I, for one, am against it. The last draft divided the upper and lower classes. Those who could afford college could stay while those who couldn't were shipped off. The last draft also resulted in a military that couldn't compete with the one we have today. If you make people do a job that they don't want to, they aren't going to do it as well as someone who wants to. I leave in June for basic training with the Air Force and I don't want to train or work with people who don't want to be there. |
