Buttons

First, how can you make a button look 3D like?
Second, you know in programs, you have tabs? How can i make some of those, except ones that overlap and have diagonal edges on the right side... (I know, really bad description, ignore this one if you want).
Third/Last, in Photoshop, if you select an area and paint bucket it, how can you get it so it's the same as a paint bucket in paint, with it fully coloring the inside of the selection (and only the inside). Or if you delete a selection, it fades the area around the selection too.

Anyway, any of these questions being answered would be very happy. thanks
