AndyMark Early Fall Product Release

AndyMark is proud to announce some of our newest products just in time for the 2018-2019 FIRST Tech Challenge season! Once again, we've taken a lot of community feedback to heart this past summer and are pleased to offer some products that are direct requests of our customers.

4" 8mm Bore HD Mecanum Wheels

These 4" HD Mecanum Wheels feature an updated center core that is now compatible with 16mm based FTC building systems, like our S3 Building kits and the TileRunner. We've managed to thin them up enough to comfortably fit into our TileRunner Drive System, without compromising the same robustness and smoothness that our customers are used to.

TileRunner with HD Mecanum Wheels

Now available as a full drive chassis system, these smooth rolling and strafing 4" HD Mecanum Wheels are now a direct-bolt on for the popular AndyMark TileRunner drive chassis.

Also to be available as an upgrade option for customers with a standard TileRunner chassis, soon.

FIRST Tech Challenge Sizing Tool

This FIRST approved sizing tool is a great addition to both your build space as well as your tournament. This lightweight polycarbonate sizing tool nicely collapses flat for easy storage and transportation to and from events. This sizing tool was successfully used this past season at both FIRST Championship events.

Green Churro and Peanut Extrusions

The same Churro and Peanut Extrusions that teams know and love, now available in green!

Also available in purple, blue, black, gold, red and of course raw silver.

FIRST Tech Challenge Starter Kits

Now, for the first time a starter kit is available to teams that will support a competition worthy robot and not just deliver a sampling of parts.

Unique to the AndyMark Starter Kit is the opportunity for customization by teams. Depending on your available budget and existing inventory of parts we have three levels of S3 bundles and 4 different TileRunner options to allow you to customize the kit to meet your needs.

2" Omni Wheels

Omni-directional wheels in the smallest diameter offered by any common FIRST Robotics Competition or FIRST Tech Challenge supplier. Available in both 35A and 90A durometers, as well as 1/2" Hex and 3/8" hex bores (via robust acetal inserts.) We think these wheels will be great options for small drive and intake wheels for FTC robots, and great for intake and lighter-duty applications on FRC robots.

As always, we're continuously working on new products all the time. Be sure to check out our New Products page for more new releases soon.

Good luck teams!
-Nick

This is pretty cool. There are a lot of teams, especially classroom based teams, who are always looking for a single kit solution. These kits will definitely simplify the design/build process for them.

Neat stuff!

I do hope we see some 2" mecanum wheels at some point. They'd be great for intakes in certain games (and the only existing options are hard to find and prohibitively expensive).

Can you even have cheap mecanum wheels

Seriously though cheap mecanum wheels for intakes would be awesome if anyone knows any leads...

Those 2" omnis look sweet! I can definitely see those being used on a 2016 stronghold-esque intake!

The VEX EDR ones looked kind of cheap, although you'd probably need to do stuff to the hub to make it viable for FRC intakes.

The Vex EDR site says "Coming soon: More wheels will be modified to include 1/4" shaft drive and inserts for traditional 1/8" shaft. These respective product changes will roll out as we exhaust our current inventory, be sure to keep an eye out for the latest updates!"

The Versaplanetary now has a 1/4" square option. The only question is how long before the 1/4" is available on the Vex EDR Wheels.

Something tells me that these can totally be modified to fit at least 8mm or 3/8th in hex with some custom hubs.

for 4 EDR wheels it costs only about $60 which is 1/2 of what 4 Vex Pro mecanums cost.

For low impact applications I'd be comfortable using these, but I'd like a second opinion on this.

If I would use any shaft for this, I'd probably use this

Would this be a viable option for intake wheels and shaft?

Re: AndyMark Early Fall Product Release

Yesssss finally the rotacaster wheels are out found out about these 3 months ago from the rotacaster company and that AM will have them this year. They are hands down the best omni wheel out there being able to have different durometer is really nice plus the customizable hub inserts. I cant wait for the FRC release
