Re: The biggest reasons Bag and Tag is terrible

The bag is too convenient to teams. It used to be that each team had to create their own crate from scratch, and now FIRST just gives out the bag. There's no room for real engineering anymore!

Re: The biggest reasons Bag and Tag is terrible

Seeing the robot in a bag makes me sad. Making the bag clear is just painful. Sometimes I find myself just looking at the robot thinking of how much work we put into it, just to suffocate it. Also, our robot is not exactly small (as teams that have seen it so far have noticed) but the bags are HUGE, making sure we had the whole end and it was sealed was somewhat tricky.

There is.

Problem is that you're relatively new. Due to past spam issues, you can't edit until you've got a certain time/post combination, I'm not sure exactly what.

Re: The biggest reasons Bag and Tag is terrible

Bag and tag is so unfair. The practice bot does all of the hard work and the competition bot gets all the credit and glory.

Re: The biggest reasons Bag and Tag is terrible

I forgot one earlier.

Looking at the robot through the bag--or knowing it's in the bag, but you can't work on it--is now classed as cruel and unusual punishment, or torture, whichever works the best for ending the bag's reign of terror.

(And for bringing back the crates, but that's a debate for another day. )

Re: The biggest reasons Bag and Tag is terrible

My issue? They give us a gazillion serial tags. I never use all of them and finding other uses for them is stressful. I mean, I tried using them as nose-rings, earrings, handcuffs.... Any other ideas?

Tie one on the robot, then tell all your friends about the big one you hunted down. When they don't believe you show the pictures.

They work great for holding pneumatic tanks to your robot and even work as a numeric label! But we really could use other colors for all-black.
