2018 Solidworks Voucher

Hi CD,

Last week my 2016 License for Solidworks finally ran up, when trying to find the the voucher for 2018 I ended up at this website: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/X9RBN9W. After filling out the form and waiting over the weekend I was contacted regarding the form I filled out by a very nice lady. After talking with her from some time on the phone, she knew what I was talking about but knew about as much as I did when it came to reviving the vouchers. I was wondering if any other teams managed to navigate their way through the new form of obtaining Soildworks licenses. From what I can tell Solidworks changed the way they give out licenses where you have to fill out a for and receive a Sponsorship rather than vouchers.

To my knowledge, this isnít a new form and there has always been some form of it that you have to fill out. Once you fill it out, youíll get an email a short time after with the license keys and some instructions for downloading solidworks.

Whatís the problem you are having with the process exactly?

Re: 2018 Solidworks Voucher

You've got the correct form.

It takes a few days, but you'll receive license keys via email that can be used the total number of team members you submitted.

While I did get an email I never got one with any license keys, the first response I got was this : https://gyazo.com/e7f76ac4234cc839a14dcf5c5f6251ca. After responding asking about the licenses she responded with https://gyazo.com/3bfc2802b823c8c953e5a8cce923ed56.

I filled it out how it wanted me to, gave the team size, said it was FRC... The lady I talked to said it may have something to do with that fact that we aren't school based but that doesn't make sense because we have gotten it in the past.

Not sure who you're talking to, but you might try getting in touch with Marie Planchard via PM or, maybe Twitter.

Re: 2018 Solidworks Voucher

That is the same form I have used the last 5 years, with the last time being in June 2018.

Did you completely fill out the form? With the FRC team number, team website, social media, etc..?

I hope this is an isolated issue and not a change at SolidWorks.

Re: 2018 Solidworks Voucher

I as well have used that same form and have gotten my team the 2018 version. Very weird.

I filled out the requirements because our team doesn't really have a website or social media anymore.
