Introducing Limelight for FRC

Hi Everyone,

We are excited to introduce Limelight, the first-ever smart camera for FRC!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTeojJaImXs

Web: http://www.limelightvision.io
Docs: http://docs.limelightvision.io

Vision has never been easier. Multiple beta teams have reported setup times of less than one hour, and one team thinks setup would take 15 minutes if a robot was designed and ready for Limelight. If you have any questions or ideas for future software updates, let us know here!

We would like to thank everyone who completed our initial survey, our growing group of beta testers, and Team 987 for their support.

-Brandon and Greg from the Limelight team

*Update*
Limelight will launch for $400 for the 2018 season.

This looks absolutely incredible. Between this and JeVois, vision for 2018 and beyond has just become so much more accessible.

Can confirm. It takes very little time. I've been silly impressed by this camera and how easy it is to use.

Hey Brandon and Greg... what's the magic number ($) though? I feel like it's the only bit of information we don't have yet.

I'm wondering that as well, as I really want to try this out myself!

Re: Introducing Limelight for FRC

Awesome product. Really interested in knowing what's in the case and what the price point will be.

EDIT: (I'm curious about the price just like everyone else!)

Re: Introducing Limelight for FRC

Another beta test confirmation...

1) Stupid easy to connect and program
2) Nice web UI to make adjustments (threshold, exposure, alignment, etc)
3) 90 fps
4) Light, clean packaging
5) Acquired last year's boiler target right out of the box

Two thumbs up!

I need this. Badly.

Very interested to know price and release date, I keep throwing money at my screen but that doesn't seem to be working.

Re: Introducing Limelight for FRC

This looks awesome! I can't wait to see how teams use this.

One question I have is what implementation are you guys using for NetworkTables? We made some slight protocol changes for the 2018 season, and just want to make sure this would have access to those changes.
