Changing joystick axes displayed on "Drive" tab

Hi all!

Our robot is using the two sticks on a single controller. According to the drivers station documentation, it appears the two xy-plots on the "Drive" tab show the status of left stick, controller 1, and left stick, controller 2.

Is there somewhere we can change the configuration to have the second xyplot show right stick, controller 1 instead? Went looking through the default LabVIEW program and didn't find anything obvious yet.

Re: Changing joystick axes displayed on "Drive" tab

You will need to create a default Dashboard project and modify that to change the inputs to that Dashboard chart.

Specifically, look at the top of the Dashboard block diagram for the two "Prepare Joy Data" vis. Those are the ones directing the data for the xy-plots.
- It's easiest to just copy out the insides of the vi and paste it directly into Dashboard Main to make your modifications. It's not doing much, and it's kind of too specific for being it's on vi. (Attachment 3)
But if you want to keep the same style (attachments 1 & 2):
- Leave the first one alone-that's your left joystick display.
- Then you need to make your own version of "Prepare..." copy and create a new one. (You can just use Windows to copy & paste a copy of the old file, then drag it to a place on the Project Manager under Dashboard Main.vi)
- The new one now needs to take it's input from the same wire as the first "Prepare"-that's joystick 0.
- Modify the block diagram of the new "Prepare..." to just change the axes to display. The default was 0 and 1 (left joystick), you want 4 & 5 (right joystick).

Here's an example:

Re: Changing joystick axes displayed on "Drive" tab

Team got a chance to implement this idea this week, and it 100% worked. Also, they're kinda excited they can modify the dashboard.

Thank you for the help!
