Wow, that's commitment. Has an off season ever had a international pre-rookie before?

If I recall correctly, WVROX had a Chinese pre rookie in 2016.

FRC Team 1360, Orbit Robotics, is delighted that we've been able to help this team get started. Several students and their lead mentor have been members of 1360 and are now ready to strike out on their own. They're looking forward to joining us at the Ruckus. Several of them were there last year and know firsthand what a great event it is.

Re: Rah Cha Cha Ruckus 2018

Thanks all for the kind words about the event -- we strive to produce a fun and functional atmosphere for teams every year!

Speaking of feedback, if anyone has feedback based on last or prior years events that you've never shared with us, we'd love to hear from you -- things that you/your team liked or things you'd like to see improved.
Would prefer to see feedback pushed to us via our Contact form (http://ruckus.penfieldrobotics.com/ - contact us link) by the team's leader -- it's easier for us to discuss internally if pushed that way and feedback from a team is consolidated to one message.

One thing I'm particularly interested in thoughts on from last year's attendees is if your team did or did not like the use of 4-team playoff alliances (and the championship-style rules allowing per-match subs and position picking that go along with that). This was something new we tried last year for the first time and we are considering using again this year (whichever way we go, the result will be on our Rules Changes page of the event website in the coming months).

Thanks again to all who have already registered!

I for one was a BIG fan of the four team alliances (way easier to find the backup when they're tethered to an alliance) but since I'm on the planning committee and it was my idea I guess my vote doesn't count. Ah well....
Anyways the Grapes of Wrath have decided to join the party! As did Northwood School Robotics!

I too, liked the 4 team alliances. It involved more teams in the elimination rounds and brought in a new element.
