Die Another Day

So, has anyone seen it how did you like it? I though it was very artsy, but not in a bad way. And you have to love the VR system made by Q, especially when Moneypenny uses it. Classic.

Haha, yeah the VR system was great!

Overall, I thought the movie was very good. I knew almost right away who Graves was, though. That was kind of disappointing.

I would die for almost any of those cars - especially the Jaguar *licks lips* Yum.

Q-'Very had to use'
MP-'Oh, yes.'

But the invisble Austin Martin is up there on my want list.

I loved it! It was the best Bond movie in a while, and had all the elements of the classic Bond movies. I personally thought GoldenEye had a better story, but Die Another Day gave it a run for its money.

The VR glasses were great, but I preferred the Aston Martin, myself. I was surprised that they called John Cleese "Q", though. I would have thought they'd retire the name, but since "M" changed actors, I guess "Q" can, too.

I think I'd settle for the XK8 with the minigun... or even the Ferrari left nose-down in the rice patty...

Miss Moneypenny needs to get a real man, as opposed to Bond... It's always been kinda sad, but that was just really pathetic, and made me feel really sorry for her...

I think this one was a hell of a lot better than TND or TWINE, and at least on par with Goldeneye. They have yet to catch up to any of the Connery movies, though.

Overall, it was one of the better Brosnan Bonds, but it definately needed a new theme song/video. Other than that, and a few non-classic-formula-following-moments, it was pretty much a typical Bond story. Not that that's a bad thing by any means.

I thought it was really, really good. It was loaded with high-tech gadgets and fast-paced action. No part was dull. It was a perfect add-on to the Bond genre.

The sexual innuendos were great and funny too... Halle Barry is a great actor Characteristic of Bond movies as well.

Supposedly in the love scene where she is eating the fruit... in one of the takes she was choking. Pierce Brosnan (bond) didn't give her the heimlich because "they were both naked." Poor excuse but I suppose it would be a little ackward

Apparently Pierce Brosnan is only tied down to creating one more Bond movie. After that, it's anyone's guess. Personally, I will be looking forward to the new movie. If the plot becomes stale, they should put the series to an end. I am not against continuing this wonderful series of movies if they can keep us entertained.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Ian Fleming is dead. He died of heart failure in 1964.

Bond novels written by Ian Fleming w/ year of release in parens:
Casino Royale (1953)
Live and Let Die (1954)
Moonraker (1955)
Diamonds Are Forever (1956)
From Russia, With Love (1957)
Doctor No (1958)
Goldfinger (1959)
For Your Eyes Only / From a View to a Kill / Quantum of Solace / Risico / The Hildebrand Rarity (1960)
Thunderball (1961)
The Spy Who Loved Me (1962)
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1963)
You Only Live Twice (1964)
The Man With the Golden Gun (1965)
Octopussy / Living Daylights / The Property of a Lady (1966)

I liked the movie. I think I'll see it again.

It was a pretty sad Bond film actually, it had taken almost everything from other Bond films, and it was not really good, the innuendos were ridiculous, there were too many, and they were way vulgar for a Bond movie.

Bond Movie Rules:
1) Everything Explodes.
2) The Bad Guys Can't Hit Bond
3) The Theme Song Always Sucks.

WHAT?! How can you say that Shirley Bassey's performance of Goldfinger sucked?!

Hmmm, maybe I'm not remembering right, but I have seen pretty much all of the Bond movies, and I don't remember a single good theme song.

I definitely have to agree with you on rule 2 -- I wasn't a fan of the beginning scene at all.

Yes, that Madonna song (if you can call it that) sucked hard. In fact, I was cringing and trying to cover my ears in pain when it was played. But the recent Bond themes performed by Sheryl Crow (Tomorrow Never Dies) and Garbage (The World is not Enough) were quite good. Not to mention the older Sean Connery Bond flicks. Those had decent songs, too. The only Bond films other than Die Another Day with bad theme songs would be the ones released in the mid/late 70's and in the 80's. Of course this is just my opinion...

<edit>
I thought it was kinda cool to see Bond get tortured a little. It was something new

Thumbs up Loved it!!

I went to see it on Saturday night w/ a few friends and I thought it was great. My favorite part was probably the opening credits, i cant believe they actually made that Madonna(sp?) song sound good...
