Clarapath is on a mission to leverage information to improve pathology laboratory workflow. We are building a medical device that is first of its kind. We are located at the New York Genome Center in Manhattan with modern facilities and access to world class research. We are a small team that plans carefully and executes fast.

Job Description: Assist engineers in day to day activities.
Responsible for assisting Design Engineers in the task of designing medical
device prototype, testing, designing test fixtures, building cables, installing connectors on cables, and operate the instrument during development testing. Assist Engineers in the task of creating acceptance test procedures, test software, test cables and machine/modify parts for prototype. Would also be responsible for writing system level test procedures and procurement of parts.

Key skills:
Understanding of fundamentals of Electrical Engineering, ability to read and decode pinouts from various boards and circuit diagrams, Oscilloscope, DMM, electric wire gauges, pins and connectors such as Molex, Din etc.
Experience building electrical cables for motion control based medical devices.
Ability to effectively use various laboratory instrumentation such as (but not limited to) microscopes, oscilloscopes, etc.
Understanding of electrical diagrams, ability to troubleshoot low power electrical circuits.
Operate a LabVIEW based system.
Basic machining skills such as drilling, tapping, cutting/finishing parts as instructed.
Work in clean room/biohazard environment up to 8 hours/day.
Aid in procurement, write documents such as test plans, meeting minutes and test results.
Qualifications:
2-year Experience as EE or ME technician in a medical device industry is a big plus. Technicians in any industry with above qualifications should apply.
Education:
Highschool with associate degree or diploma preferred.
