Fixed.

Another fun fact: CA has more events than any of the non-FIM district systems.
Hey, you guys should move to districts.

Re: 2019 FRC events

I'd like to thank the California RD's for adding two regionals, and also achieving a pretty good spread of events over the six weeks.

It's a bummer that the bulk of non-CA western events are clustered week 4-5. but that's not on the CA RD's.

NE is at 12 events before DCMP, but Cali certainly is creeping up on us fast. It's almost as if Districts are in sight...

Do you mean physically or week-wise? The OC Fairgrounds are only about a 5 minute drive from UC Irvine where the regional has been the last two years. Please come by!

Location was not the issue. Since all of our competitions require travel and stay overs, we only compete during our spring break.

Week 1 & 2 events are during finals and I do not wish to add more stress to our students during our off island adventures.

May the lottery be ever in your favor....

Aloha!

Guess this means we're getting three fields next year... unless there's another explanation for how another field will get procured for the 3 regionals happening Week 4 Also still waiting on one more event I believe O_o

I guess we may be able to figure out this mystery once all the events are posted. And also how Las Vegas, Utah, AND Idaho can all have week 5 fields? It's a mighty long drive from Kansas City and/or Coahuila Mexico.

Escanaba is gone (Muskegeon is replacing it), and it appears Waterford is being replaced by the resurrection of the Detroit/Cass Tech District.

There are several districts that have about as many (or less) events than the 7 Northern MI had (Traverse City, the Alpena’s, Gaylord, LSSU, Kingsford, and Muskegon), including IN having half as many district events. At this rate, Northern MI could split off in to its own district.

Honestly MI could be 3 districts (East, West, and North) with the team density we have.

Agreed (just from re-skimming the Event search maybe we'll get the field from anything West of the Mississippi/Texas ie Colorado or Arizona?); with three events falling on Week 4, my original predictions of each week having no more than two events (under the presumption that CA First has two fields each season) now have a wrench thrown in them xD. It now seems like that last (possible) CA event could fall any week other than Week 4 (unless we're holding four events at the same time O_o major doubts about RDs deciding on that). Personally I'd like to see another Week 6 regional

This would be very interesting. I think you would get a more diverse mix of teams in the playoffs at Detroit (because, lets face it, the divisions at Detroit were 3 parts MI, 1 part Ontario, and 1 part everyone else). Most of the top FIM teams come from the Detroit area (2767 being a huge exception), so if there was a East Michigan District, a lot of teams that make it right now that come from that area might not make it.
