Quitting Driver Station causes log out

Somehow, all our laptops with the 2018 FRC Update installed now log out the user automatically when the driver station software is quit.

We found an ancient thread from 2011 that discussed this same behavior.

I can't determine what caused this, but the account we use for the driver station (which has admin privs, thankyouverymuch) had its username and profile name changed to "Driver" on *every* one of these laptops. (The laptops are independent, they are not part of a domain.) As a result, the DS invokes "shutdown -l" when it exits, which is behavior intended for the old Classmate laptops.

I followed this procedure from Microsoft to change the account username and profile name back to what it should be, and this behavior stopped happening.

Re: Quitting Driver Station causes log out

Yep, the answer is just don't use an account named "Driver"
It just automated going full screen for the DS app and the Dashboard app.

Any idea what created the Driver user account name?
Even the old Classmate images had a Developer user account as well.

Re: Quitting Driver Station causes log out

That's the mystery. The account was created as "Admin", long before the 2018 DS was installed. Something changed it under the hood, going so far as to rename c:\Users\Admin to c:\Users\Driver, and it changed the registry entry to match. That happened on seven laptops.
