Reviewing and Projecting the PCH DCMP Points Cutoff

So I've put together a quick list of the PCH district rankings here together to project the district points roster. Last year, it took about 42 points to make it to district champs (lowest in was 4112, who had 40, but they were invited after some teams a little higher up couldn't go). This year, by adding ten more teams, that bar should be a little bit higher. I think it's a pretty safe assumption to say that ~50 points will definitely qualify a team for district championship. With that in mind, I separated teams into a few groups: "Locks", "Right Side of the Bubble" (teams who are currently outside the required number but will most likely make it), "Still Have Some Work to do" (teams outside the bubble and who need to step up their game to definitely have a shot at it), and "Probably Out of the Running" (teams who I doubt will receive an invite and have completed both their events). Keep in mind that this is definitely no final determination and that 50 points is just a projection.

Re: Reviewing and Projecting the PCH DCMP Points Cutoff

CA qualifies you regardless of points. Since both of the CA have over 50 points, that doesn't effect the current calculation.

I understand that. But I still noted it. The "+CA" is nothing more than a marker.

Re: Reviewing and Projecting the PCH DCMP Points Cutoff

Do you have a formal methodology for how you are determining these or are you just using the eyeball test?

Sorry about that, I did this mostly by hand so I missed a few teams.

I will not be updating this, as frclocks is basically doing the same thing. It's looking like the cutoff will be somewhere around 43-45 points, just slightly up (as expected) from last year.
