Texas State UIL Championship

Well we are one week away from the Texas UIL "state championship" in Austin.

Good luck to all the teams competing, it should be a very competitive event, multiple world champs attending along with local powerhouses and up and coming teams.

My personal team 4639 is coming off our best season ever after finishing 2nd seed semi finalists in San Antonio a few week ago, ready for the weekend and hopes to contribute as a vault/switch boi with multiple auto modes and multi situation climbing ability.

Let's get this thread going for any predictions or info anyone else has.

HOF teams
I mean, 2468 was a Chairman's finalist, and 148 is Original and Sustaining, but no HOF

Will there be a webcast of this event?

Also, good luck to this year’s Chairman’s Award Finalist and our 2016 Championship alliance partner 2468!

Can't tell if you're joking, but HOF status can only be earned through winning chairman's at the championship(s) level. 148 is an original and sustaining team, while 2468 is just a really good chairman's team.

Relax

I thought 148 had won it awhile ago and 2468 just recently.

A quick blue alliance search is a good way to make sure you have the correct information....

that would require more than the most minimal amount of effort I put I to this post, and since I wrote this half asleep last night and copy pasted most of it I didn't bother.

Thanks for being the internet detectives though.

Generally a good idea to put some effort into your posts when everything you post on CD represents your team to some extent.

Regardless! Back to the point of this post. Should be a really good event and I'm looking forward to seeing how it shakes out. Will we see a 118 vs 148 battle, with 3310, 624 and 1477 thrown in the mix somewhere (one of my favourite wildcards)? Who's to say. Rankings will be super important (shocker, I know).

Re: Texas State UIL Championship

Well...we'll see all in Austin! We're not a "powerhouse", HOF, sustaining, or even notable team in the annals of FRC in Tejas. We are reliable, rugged, make every match, score in auto, stuff switches and the vault, plus will be the best dang "wingman" to a "powerhouse" alliance. This game takes lots of balance and the ability to put one's ego second to the match team's win. I'm quite proud of my team's growth and performance this season! Y'all done good!

Look foward to seeing some super robots and great teams. We learn every time we compete...for us it truly is more than the robots!
