Re: Crown Jewel of your Collection

I was late to the whole shirt trading thing, but on my birthday at Houston Champs I managed to snag a Shockwave hat/shirt, Imperator sweatshirt, Up-A-Creek shirt, Citrus Shirt, OP Shirt, and the golden gem of them all, the limited-edition, once-in-a-lifetime official FIRST (tm) robocat shirt retailing for $42!

And a lot of broken robot parts.

Re: Crown Jewel of your Collection

At a regional, we only brought 8 people. Everyone at that regional signed a gear, spokes for the drive team (the extra has the regional name and year) and the other 4 signed around it

Re: Crown Jewel of your Collection

I was finally able to trade one of my 1523 shirts with a member on 5842.

I love that team.

In this spirit my crown jewel is my red 159 shirt. For those of you who know 159 we are the blue shirts with white text (think 254). But in our second year as a team (1999) before we had official colors the team went for a ski patrol style shirt because we're alpine robotics.

I got one of these shirts that is older than me (and most teams) recently from my former preschool teacher. Her son was on 159 years 2-5 and she still had the shirt, so she gave it to me after our finalist appearance at Hub City.

I wore it to the Colorado Regional and actually had a queuer tell me I needed to leave the drivers box because I wasn't on our team. (I was red and everyone else was blue) I thought that was pretty hilarious.

So that's where the red shirt came from. Ok, that makes sense. Cool story, too!

My FRC collection's crown jewel is probably the koala 3132 gave me.

Definetly my hard hat with a pink windup bunny attached to the top, as well as my sign that says my nickname Caution. Im my teams safety captain of 2 years. I also wear a safety vest and gloves and I used to wear tons of pins but they kept falling off.

Thanks to anyone who signed the half red, half silver hat in the pits!
I also wear a hard hat in the FRC, mine is yellow with a pink windup bunny on it. Our robot this year was named tom and we had a pink bunny on the robot named Jerry, which is why I had a Jerry on my hat.

Re: Crown Jewel of your Collection

I think the crown jewel of my collection has to be either the 1676 shirt or the 111 shirt that I managed to trade for at Champs in 2016.

I still have a koala hanging from my ceiling fan that I got at 2013 Worlds. I'll have to check if it's from 3132, but I imagine so.
