Predictive Algorithm Experience

Hey everyone! I've got a question for those college students interested. I'm currently working on a business plan idea at MCPHS University with a team and one idea we had was a predictive algorithm for predicting drug shortages in the United States. If anyone has experience with these kind of algorithms, and would like to advise about them or help with the business plan (if it's successful we would go forward with it), it would be much appreciated! I'm mainly looking for advice on how difficult these algorithms are.

Thanks FIRST Alums!
It's a mechanical problem. It's an electrical problem. It's a programming problem. It's a design problem.

Whatever the problem is, it's our problem, and we have to fix it.
