Aside from the fact that game was based on averages, they did score less at least once each.

Re: 2018 Houston Einstein

Challenges the popular opinion but my dad who went to champs for the first time really enjoyed the entire event and liked the MMP segment. He did however complain about the video of the MMP matches...

I would like to point out that 2976 has never been to a previous world championship and 3075 hasn't been there since they won Rookie All Star at their regional their rookie year, and now they're both world champions! (Thanks to, in no small part, 254 and 148)

You'll get them soon enough for the round robin. As for the Einstein finals, you'll get a bunch of jumbled images from all the different cameras they had set up in an "artistic" manner.

Re: 2018 Houston Einstein

I think I can speak for my whole team when I say that our experience on Einstein and Newton division playoffs was nothing short of spectacular. Several factors contributed to low seeding and poor performance in our qualifying matches, so everyone became increasingly anxious as the 1st and 2nd rounds of alliance selection went on and we remained unpicked. Then to be selected by 1678 and 1619, two excellent teams who we had the privilege to play against on Friday, brought an unprecedented level of excitement and energy to our team. We were about to play with some of the best teams in FIRST Power-Up.

I have nothing but good things to say about the students and mentors on 1678, 1619, and 4061. They were all intelligent and kind people and it almost felt like we'd been on the same team all year instead of those few hours on Saturday. Our first division win and Einstein appearance partnered with our first regional win as a 1st pick at Greater Kansas City has made this the most successful season the FBI have had and we owe no small part of that to the amazing teams we've had the privilege to play with. We've learned countless things this season and we plan on implementing all of them into our work in the future in hopes of inspiring other teams the way we have been inspired by the top-tier teams from Newton and the other teams we competed with on Einstein.

Re: 2018 Houston Einstein

So serious question, is there or will there be any footage of the actual Einstein finals matches?
I kinda wanted to see how the matches actually unfolded without random full screen zooms into power cubes and podiums.

I think that this would make the move to MMP/Ford Field more exciting. I just despise the round robin format as it is such an unnatural format compared to the rest of FRC competitive season. Either that or transition to 4/8 fields for each event - yes I know logistically it is near impossible due to space and time constraints.

I really despise round robin...

Re: 2018 Houston Einstein

For your photoshop fun, the initial start failure of Einstein Finals 1, in which we discover the video switcher is misconfigured:

Then the real start of EF1, in which we cut away from the hosts… to the lectern at home plate.
