Thanks, that's what I suspected.

Re: Boeing Grant Due Date

The grant application period will run through July 31, 2017.

If you have questions related to the mentoring a FIRST robotics team, including retirees who want to apply, please contact Reyna Toyama at reyna.l.toyama@boeing.com.

Boeing employees have an internal link that we will use to fill out the application.

I would edit the email out of my quote but can't at this point -- if a Mod wants to do so that would be fine. Thanks.

Re: Boeing Grant Due Date

I received the following from the person who is in charge of the grants at Boeing.

"New this year, retirees can apply using the same form that employees use. Link in my signature block below."

http://www.cybergrants.com/pls/cybergrants/ao_survey.form?x_gm_id=1292&x_section_id=1421460&x _quiz_survey_id=45818

The application is due July 31, 2017.

Re: Boeing Grant Due Date

Piggy backing...

This year's grant notice was listed as "Type: Any Registration Type", and "Boeing-Restricted".

I'm awaiting official word from ar@firstinspires.org on my question: Does [all the stuff above] mean that the grant is ONLY usable for registration, but can be used for first, second, or championship events?

Any UNofficial opinions from folks who have received Boeing Grants for 2017?
The issue is that my team registered for a NASA Regional Challenge event first, and we're afraid we may have excluded ourselves from getting both grants.

My understanding is the Boeing grant can be used for any registration (initial, 2nd event, champs). This was new as of last year. 2016 and prior it was exclusive for initial registration only, which meant in Apex's rookie season we had to choose between Boeing and NASA. As of last year they explicitly stated that that restriction had changed on the grant application form, specifically to avoid those kinds of conflicts.
